A World Full Of Wildlife 2023

Hello musics and nature adorers!

Daphodil Music are proud to have collaborated on another exciting musical project with Deeside Schools on their excellent 2023 eco film titled — ‘A World Full Of Wildlife (and how you can protect it)’, inspired by another of ultimate climate warrior author Neal Layton‘s books, of the same title.

Watch the film A World Full Of Wildlife here:

A World Full of Wildlife was another Wirral Film Premier, we have been so fortunate to once again be part of a fantastic echo-film collaboration between Deeside Schools, bringing Neal Layton’s book of same title to life. Explore the amazing web of life on Earth, biodiversity in all its form and what you can do to protect it!

Composing the theme song for A World Full of Wildlife was enormous fun! Neal Leyton’s book has so much information in it, it is always a challenge to convey it all in song form, but we are so happy with how it turned out and the children sang it so beautifully and joyfully, which is what Daphodil Music is all about!

Our favourite way of raising awareness, creating change and mobilising people into action is through music and song, and we hope you enjoy singing along and thinking about the important message of this song.

A World Full of Wildlife – Lyrics:

Verse 1:

We are all part of something bigger In a world full of wildlife,
We are like blocks building a tower Of life.

Nature is full of many wonders The world is about variety,
All of the species in our planet Make biodiversity

Chorus:

Does it swim? Does it fly? Grow low or stretch high? With wings or paws? Petals or spores?

Does it sprout from a seed?
Or harch from an egg?
If it lives on our earth
Then it’s a part of this thread called the web of life.

The web of life x4

Verse 2:

We are all part of something bigger, in a world full of wildlife,
We are like blocks building a tower of life.

Animals, plants and all the humans need air, water, food and happy homes. Whether we’re huge or microscopic – we can’t survive alone!

Chorus:

Does it swim? Does it fly? Grow low or stretch high? With wings or paws? Petals or spores?

Does it sprout from a seed?
Or harch from an egg?
If it lives on our earth,
then it’s a part of this thread called the web of life.

The web of life x4 / Biodiversity x4 Repeat Chorus

A Climate In Chaos 2022

Hello music lovers and climate warriors!

Daphodil Music are proud to have collaborated on another exciting musical project with WIRRAL IN THE SUNSHINE on their fantastic 2022 film titled — ‘A Climate In Chaos (and how we can help)’, inspired by the book by the ultimate climate warrior author Neal Layton, of the same title.

Watch the film A Climate In Chaos here:

Composing the theme song A Climate In Chaos was such a privilege and so much fun.

The verses and the bridge sections are spoken rhythmically, because rap is such a powerful songwriting tool for conveying urgent messages. And climate change is a hugely important and urgent issue! The bridge also has a little nod to recent speeches made by another notable climate activist, can you guess who*? (scroll all the way down to find out)

Our favourite way of raising awareness, creating change and mobilising people into action is through music and song, and we hope you enjoy singing along and thinking about the important message of this song.

A Climate In Chaos – Lyrics:

Verse 1:

Have you heard of climate change?
We hope this doesn’t sound too strange
It affects all living things
Everything that grows and springs.

Earth has been so good to us
But now the climate’s in chaos
Many gases fill the sky
And temperatures are getting high!

Chorus:

Reduce your waste, reuse your things
Plant a tree and eat your greens
Switch off electricity
Walk or cycle, then you’ll see

It is not too late for us
To save a climate in chaos
We can make a change together
Make our future better!

Verse 2:

Humans sometimes make bad choices
Burning fuels and chopping forests
We’ll run out of food and water
If the Earth keeps getting hotter.

The effects are wide and dire
Heavy winds, and rains and fires
Creatures lose their habitats
Don’t dispute the science stats!

Chorus:

Reduce your waste, reuse your things
Plant a tree and eat your greens
Switch off electricity
Walk or cycle, then you’ll see

It is not too late for us
To save a climate in chaos
We can make a change together
Make our future better!

Bridge:

Yo! Listen up, no more empty words
It’s time to get our message heard
Take care for our planet today
Before our chances melt away

This is more than just the weather
It is whether we’ll survive
Tick tock, it is now or never
Let’s make sure that life on Earth can thrive!

Final Chorus:

Reduce your waste, reuse your things
Plant a tree and eat your greens
Switch off electricity
Walk or cycle, then you’ll see

It’s not too late for us
To save a climate in chaos
We can make a change together
Make our future better!
